[...did she just say "too girly"? At first, he was going to dismiss that, but it's evident in the way his eye twitches that...well, are you insinuating he's girly, Asahi!? He's covered in these ladybugs!!]

...Does it really matter if it's girly or not? I saw the happiness in your face when I gave it to you, so...I want you to keep it. After all...you should be happy always.

Of course it matters.. [ It's a little mumbled though, it's a complex she has that she doesn't really talk about. Which is why she tries to shake it off as she talks on. ]

[ Happy, huh.. even without him here. Sure, she can believe that, but.. it's just weird, getting attached to something and then losing it. She hasn't been attached to enough things to experience loss that badly..

A sigh, and she takes off her jacket, throwing it over a chair. ]

You're taking the bed tonight since you're the guest. I can use the couch. [ At least that already sounds a little more like the usual Asahi. ]

I refuse. [...Well that was sudden and to the point.]

I'll be the one to take the couch, after all, I wouldn't feel right in taking the bed of another. [Especially if it smells like a girl because he already has enough of that as it is.]

[ Sure, other people have been blunt with her before too - her friend Toru being a huge example - but it's never Giorno's more stubborn and determined kind of blunt like this. Somehow she feels she won't be able to convince him like he's saying..

.. But it's Asahi, so she still has to try. ]

You can't do that! That'd mean I'd let a guest sleep on the couch, that just isn't right! That thing's hard, you know!

I've slept in worse conditions, before. [That whole train situation was...pretty odd, from what he hears.] So I don't mind sleeping on the couch.

And don't make me repeat myself on what I said before; I'm not going to sleep on that bed. After all, this is your quarters, and you have a right to sleep on there.

[He's going to solidify the deal just by laying down on the couch.]

[ .. A deep breath. How Asahi manages to yell at that volume is anyone's guess, but she probably woke up the neighbours too at this rate.. ]

[...ok, well, that certainly was unexpected. After a moment of cringing from how loud that yell was, Giorno sat up and stared at her with his deadpan expression.]

[And with that, he relocated himself to the bed, plopping himself on it.]

...you really are a good person, Asahi. I don't see how anyone can exactly dislike you.

[ .. Geez, is that the kind of stuff she needs to tell him just to make him listen? She looks a little flustered at his last remark, having to look away a moment before she can look to him and answer. ]

Don't say that, there's plenty of reasons to dislike me.. I mean, some people don't like overly honest people, and even aside from that I'm rude and not ladylike at all, everyone must think I'm not even like a girl. [ She'll only admit those doubts about herself out loud since it's him, either way. Asahi sits down on the couch instead this time, staring down at the ladybug broach and fiddling a little with it to distract herself. ] You're the one who's a good guy. You came all the way over here just for me..

...that doesn't really matter at all. It's the person that you are that people are attracted to. After all, it's why I found you to be a good person; don't think that for one second all of those traits are ones to be hated by. It's something to admire, and it's something I can't seem to find in others. I guess that's why I was attracted to you in the first place as well. And...hm. I only did this because I didn't want to see you in pain.

[With a sigh, he noticed her fiddling with the broach, which caused him to raise an eyebrow. Ah...she really did like it...] ...how about we just both sleep in the bed, fair compromise?

[ Well, if everyone wasn't awake by now, they will be now. And her face is just about as red as her hair too. ]

[As if his ears weren't already blasted from that last yell, this one might have sealed the deal. Except not really, and he's still giving off that deadpan stare.]

[ He's making this so difficult, yes! Isn't it weird?! But.. gah.. she at least realises he's too serious to think about this the way she is, not to mention he already has a girl he likes either way judging from that talk about the kiss they had so.. it should be fine. It's just as friends, right? Just as friends, sleeping together on the same bed, totally normal!!

Still, her face is pretty red as she walks over to the bed and flops down on the space that isn't occupied by him, her wild red hair sprawled out on the pillow. ]

Well, I didn't want you to be uncomfortable on that couch- it doesn't seem like a proper place to sleep, after all. I guess you could say I'm a little relieved you managed to take my advice, after all.

[After a sigh, he'll shift his eyes over to her- is she still red after all of this? Sheesh, after a while, one would think that they'd be over this already...looks as though she hasn't- oh. Ohhhh. Now he gets it.]

[ Clearly agitated out of embarassment, yup, the answer to that is pretty obvious. She did sleep in the same bed as Lucas, but he's a moe, she doesn't count him.. ]

I-.. o.. of course I wouldn't, sleeping like this with a guy is just weird, okay?! [ .. A deep breath, but she rolls onto her side so she's looking at him, her face a near pout. ] .. But.. I trust you, Giorno, so as long as you don't tell anyone, it's fine.

[ Besides.. it's sort of nice either way, lying here like this. It's not like Giorno is annoying, after all, not in the way most of the guys back home and even here are. And with Itsuki gone.. she honestly feels almost a little vulnerable, a little more lonely in this place. So the company is a nice reminder that Itsuki being gone doesn't mean she's alone. Besides, Giorno's smart, and.. strong, too.. It makes her feel a little more comfortable and strangely safe.

She closes her eyes. Not since she's going to sleep already, but more since even though she wants to say the truth here, it's so embarassing that she can't face him as she says it. ]

So.. please don't leave me now.. [ Her voice is a little softer. At least compared to her usual yelling volume. ]

[It's not like he knows any better on how to act in this situations! ...well, then again, all he knows is "look out for the gang members", so...

But still, when she says those words, his eyes widen a bit as he turned himself on his side to look at her. She...ugh, what in the world was he supposed to say to that? He would have expected Asahi to yell at him further, but...somehow, seeing her in this sort of light (or whatever it is they're under) makes him relax a bit. He can only stare at her for a while as she closes her eyes, saying those words. His hand soon found its way to her cheeks, as his voice came out a little lighter then usual as well.]

I won't leave you now, nor will I ever leave you alone when you're like this. I only want you to...feel safe.

[To think that he would utter those words, let alone to someone like Asahi...but he honestly does feel comfortable around her enough to actually say something like this. Even if he's always serious business most of the time.]

...so please, put your worries to rest, Asahi.

[ It's strange. With all her friends she's always been the one for the action, the one to help everyone out and watch over everyone. Not just back home, but here too. Even with Itsuki she felt like she had to make sure he'd be okay, but.. this is different. Maybe it's something about Giorno that virtually makes him a natural leader, but.. it makes her feel like for once she can take it a little bit more easily, that she can just be the one to be protected for once, that maybe this time she can be the one to be spoiled. ]

No, I've.. never felt safer than this. [ It's half-mumbled as she's lying there, faintly feeling his touch against her cheek. She's honest, so of course she's just being honest too now, but.. it's still a little difficult and scary. Like the moment she says those words they might be turned against her, the moment she shows the tiniest weakness.

She finally opens her eyes a little, having to blink a few times as she can already notice how it's getting a little darker in the room due to night falling outside. ]

When I first met you, I just thought you were rude. But.. I've understood by now. You're really just a super kind person.

[...ah. He can't exactly seem to pin what's going on here. He's...never quite experienced a moment like this before in his life. Least of all with a girl, no less. But...it's relaxing. Being so serious, having to look over everyone to make sure that no one gets hurt...it's all he strives for. But...protecting this one girl that's lying in front of him- he feels as though if he lets her down in the slightest, he wouldn't be able to live it down. Is this what it means to care so much about someone...?

But after a moment of staring and seeing her open her eyes, he can't help but radiate his golden smile. She...really was someone that he wanted to be there for. What is this feeling, though...? It's...strange to think that someone so opposite of him in personality would make him feel like this.]

...I suppose I could say the same thing to you. I thought you were brash, overly loud, but...after the course of my stay here, I've realized that...you mean much to me.

[A bit of a chuckle as he stares right back at her. Is he really admitting something like this right now? ...but...he's ok with it.]

[ He really just.. chuckled, didn't he?! And that smile he's having is just so radiating, and then he's even saying she means a lot to him, just.. it's.. so weird. Sure, back home she's best friends with Koyuki and she says that kind of stuff and smiles all the time, but that's different. Koyuki does that to everyone, that's just the kind of overly sweet girl she is, but Giorno isn't as quick as her to do it. It makes it feel more.. special.

Even if it's embarassing too. Maybe it's just exactly that she's so happy that it's embarassing.. ]

What, is that what you tell all your gang members back home too? [ It's probably half a real question and half a joke, since she's smiling and near-laughing herself too. She doesn't move from how she's lying there though, not at all. ]

[...huh? What kind of question is that...? It completely catches Giorno off guard by how she says it, as well- he...doesn't tell them much of anything, actually. And...now that he thinks about it...he only expressed his concern over them through his actions, not his words...his eyes widen a bit at the sudden realization, but he still tries to keep his calm and composure. J-Just...smile it off, Giorno.]

...no, I suppose I don't tell them that at all. I...hm. Asahi, are you...? [Oh no, is she catching on to him? ...augh, this girl is making him stupidly happy- something he can't exactly claim to know the feeling about.

...but it's alright. It's her, after all. If she sees him like this...then it's fine.]

[ He didn't even say those kind of things to his friends..? Sure, she can tell he cares for them, but.. it's still weird, to think he hasn't said it to them yet he has to her. It makes her feel a little special for once, and that in turn actually makes her pretty happy too. It's why she chuckles a little. ]

Don't worry about it.

[ She rolls back onto her back, staring at the ceiling for now as it's getting darker and darker in the room. ]

.. You won't leave before it's morning, right..? [ He already said he wouldn't leave, but that was more in general.. this is about this specific situation. It's just.. somewhat comforting, the idea of the presence of another person there during the night. ]

[...now he is really going to worry about it. Something to dwell on as he passes through the night, huh...? Whatever, he'll probably figure it out later. In the meantime, his eyes light up a bit at what she asked next. With a sigh, he rolled back unto his back, staring at the darkening ceiling.]

...of course I won't leave before morning time. I have plans to stay with you as long as you need it. If I wake up before you...I'll prepare you breakfast. After all, you deserve something like this.

[That said, he turned his head to look at her staring at the ceiling. Sure, the room was darkening, but he could still see the happiness in her face, and it made him feel a little more relaxed. He brought his hand up to pet her hair...it was quite soft, actually.]

You don't have to make anything, we can just get it together.. [ It's more a mumble than her actually talking right now - in fact, it sounds like she doesn't even really realise what she's saying since she's slowly falling asleep here. Somehow his petting is comfortable enough to actually make her fall asleep..

A yawn and her eyes are closed again. ]

We're best friends, so.. I'll help out whenever when it's you, Giorno..

[ She mumbles something more, but it seems her voice is trailing off until she's just fully fallen asleep like that. Apparently she was trying to take the broach off her jacket so she wouldn't accidentally damage it while sleeping, but she forgot to put it down on a night stand or anything - instead it's clutched tightly in her hand as she sleeps, holding it close to herself like some important treasure. ]
